LLAMA BIKE – TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. DEPOSIT / GUARANTEE
To rent a bicycle from LLAMA BIKE, the client must leave ONE of the following:
- Original valid document (Passport or National ID)
OR
- Cash deposit:
- Urban Bike: USD 50
- MTB: USD 80
Mandatory Requirements for Locals:
Locals are required to leave both their National ID and a security deposit, which varies depending on the type of bicycle rented:
- Urban Bike: PEN 70
- MTB BIKE: PEN 100
¨The deposit will be fully refunded upon return of the bicycle in proper condition¨.
2. NORMAL USE (NO EXTRA CHARGE)
Normal wear and tear is included in the rental price, including:
- Dirt from normal use
- Minor adjustments
- Flat tires from normal city riding
3. MINOR DAMAGE (PARTIAL CHARGE)
- Partial charges may apply in cases of:
- Deep scratches caused by falls
- Damage to brakes or gears due to misuse
- Bent rims
- Loss of helmet, lock, or accessories
¨Charges will always be proportional to the damage¨.
4. SERIOUS DAMAGE OR LOSS
The following are considered serious damage:
- Broken frame
- Severe suspension damage (MTB)
- Theft or total loss of the bicycle
- Riding in prohibited areas (beach, sand, stairs, off-road zones)
In these cases, the deposit will be retained. If damages exceed the deposit, the client must cover the difference.
5. PROHIBITED USE
The following activities are not allowed:
- Jumps, tricks, or downhill riding
- Riding on sand or beach areas
- Sub-renting the bicycle
- Repainting the bicycle or modifying its accessories
6. LATE RETURN
- Up to 30 minutes: courtesy
- More than 30 minutes: an additional rental block will be charged.
7. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY
The client agrees to use the bicycle responsibly and follow all safety instructions provided by LLAMA BIKE.
8. INCLUDED BIKE CARE (MULTI-DAY RENTALS)
For rentals of 2 to 7 days, LLAMA BIKE includes basic bike care support at no additional cost.
Included:
- Basic brake and gear adjustments
- Tire pressure check
- Seat and handlebar adjustments
- Flat tire repair and standard inner tube replacement
Not included:
- Damage caused by accidents, falls, or misuse
- Broken components due to improper use
- Theft or loss of the bicycle
